The Role of Operations Technician with Us

At Kungsbacka Municipality, you will be part of an engaged team with broad expertise in IT infrastructure. As an operations technician, you will be responsible together with colleagues for the operation, monitoring, and development of the municipality's IT infrastructure. You will participate in change and improvement work focusing on security, quality, and automation, and contribute to creating modern and efficient solutions for the municipality's operations.

Your Profile

You are structured, self-driven, and responsible, but you enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common goals. You are genuinely interested in new technology and want to help create a safe and future-proof IT environment. You see change as an opportunity and are happy to contribute ideas and new ways of working. Your commitment to technology, security, and quality means that you always strive to improve and streamline. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has several years of experience in operation and support in complex IT environments.
• Has several years of experience with both Windows Server and Linux – from installation and configuration to troubleshooting.
• Has several years of experience analyzing and solving problems in complex IT environments.
• Has several years of experience planning, administering, and following up on patching of operating systems and applications.
• Has experience with scripting and automation in PowerShell.
• Has experience configuring and implementing security baselines for various operating systems and applications.
• Has experience hardening operating systems and systems.

It is a merit if you have:

• Experience implementing Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Experience with container platforms, such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with automation using PowerShell and Ansible.

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent full-time position starting February 2, 2026, or as agreed.
